ABOUT LISA LORENZ
Lisa Lorenz (Founder/Business Owner/Instructor) is from St. Charles, Il and graduated from Western Michigan University with a BA in dance and a minor in Communications. Lisa received her Yoga teacher training and certification in 2012 from Yogaview in Chicago. She also received her prenatal yoga certification from Yogaview. In addition, Lisa is Yoga Sculpt certified and used to teach at the Chicago Athletic Clubs. She has taught community Yoga classes at various lululemon and Athleta locations. Lisa volunteered as a Yoga instructor for Bounce Children’s Foundation, build-ON Chicago and GirlForward. She traveled to Haiti to teach yoga and dance to under privileged children.
In addition to Yoga, Lisa has been teaching dance, barre and group fitness in the Chicago area since 2007. Her professional dance experience includes dancing with: Royal Caribbean Productions, Thodos Dance Chicago and Inaside Chicago Dance.
In 2011 Lisa was awarded lululemon ambassador and in 2017 Athleta honored her to be a brand ambassador for the Fremont location in Chicago. ClassPass honored Lisa one of Chicago's top rated Yoga Instructors.
Lisa has co-produced a dance program in Chicago named Still Inspired(?) and taught dance and yoga to the students in Dance Ensemble for After School Matters program at the Harris Theatre.
This past year Lisa taught at The British School of Chicago, Lincoln Park as their “Dance and Yoga Specialist”. Lisa currently teaches yoga and barre classes for the Midtown Athletic Clubs as well as dance classes at Rise Dance Center. You can also take Lisa’s “Yoga for Dancers” class at Northwest Ballet Academy. Most recently, Lisa has joined the LifeTime family teaching yoga, barre & CTR.
Gratitude Yoga was Lisa’s first “baby” and since then has built a family with her husband, Nicholas. Wearing many hats as a business owner, her favorite role is being a Mother to her daughter, Amiah and son, Bennett. She is forever grateful to be able to financially support her family through her purpose.
Creating Gratitude Yoga is a dream come true and Lisa is grateful for this beautiful chapter.
